Style?  I don't think I have a "style".

Nice, "golf" shorts with the same tan belt, regardless of the color of anything else I'm wearing, and some kind of polo, whatever I grab.  Hat, no visor.....most of mine are "course" hats rather than "brand" hats.  I'm particularly fond of the U.S. Open venue hats that the USGA sends every year with your membership renewal.

Is that a style?  If so, I'm guessing the word for it isn't very polite.....

In David's bag....

Driver: Titleist 910 D-3;  9.5* Diamana Kai'li
3-Wood: Titleist 910F;  15* Diamana Kai'li
Hybrids: Titleist 910H 19* and 21* Diamana Kai'li
Irons: Titleist 695cb 5-Pw

Wedges: Scratch 51-11 TNC grind, Vokey SM-5's;  56-14 F grind and 60-11 K grind
Putter: Scotty Cameron Kombi S
Ball: ProV1

None of the above.  It's whatever I grab out of the closet.  There are days when I'm just out running errands and decide to play a round.  Then it's whatever I happen to be wearing, and if my errand was to Lowe's or Home Depot, that could even include (gasp!) either blue jeans or a t-shirt.

To me, style is how I act on the course, not how I dress.

2 shorts, 2 shirts, and a pair of pants.  that's all i got for golf attire.  mix and match as needed, never wear a belt. i'd play in t-shirt and blue jean shorts if the material handled sweat like the *golf* clothes do.

i chuckle when i see people dressed like rickie fowler on a muni...

L
i chuckle when i see people dressed like rickie fowler on a muni...
Lol @ rickie fowler comment. Ages 16 and down I'm cool with it. I think it shows that golf and rickie are pulling in new golfers. 16+ is just ridiculous.

Do y'all feel pressured to play to play at the same level you dress? Personally, when I'm rocking my Oakley / Titleist gear, I feel like I need to shoot in the low 70s. However, when I play at a muni in shorts and a frumpy polo (not tucked in) I feel like I could shoot 85 without getting any "poser" looks.

I don't have "outfits" that specifically go together.  I mix and match for the most part.  I have a lot of polo's (around 50) and about (15 pants).  I just have certain style things that I abide to.  Never wear black shoes with shorts, never tuck shirt in without wearing a belt, always tuck shirt in, belt has to match shoes, ect.

I play "Target" golf when I wear clothing made by Champion. EDIT: Because they carry Champion stuff at Target. Don't think I got that point across. ;-) And because the clothing is nice.

C9 rocks. I don't buy the golf wear but I love the underwear, specifically the compression mocks and t-shirts. Better fit and performance than my Under Armour gear, which I no longer buy. I've had the same rotation of C9 shirts for more than a year and it still looks new.

I'll dress as casual as i can.  Shorts in neutral or navy (Texas in the summer I can't abide pants), polos without brand logos, USGA hats or hats with brand names from companies whose products I don't play (I have a client who is the Ping rep, and I got a free Callaway hat from RBG).

Depends on the weather. When it is cold, long pants (never blue jeans), collared polo shirt and sweater, black wind breaker when needed, black golf shoes, black socks.

When it is warm I wear nice shorts, belt (primarily to hold my GPS), collared polo shirt tucked in, brown and white golf shoes and low cut white socks.

When I do wear a hat, which is not often, I wear my USGA membership hat.

I always leave my cell phone in the car, I hate the damn thing anyway.
