Anyone know of a shoe with an alternative closure system other that BOA? Due to the rave reviews, I've been considering getting a pair of FJs with the BOA closure system for some time. Before moving forward, I wanted to know if any other companies have similar products on the market. I haven't been able to find any. Thanks.

Just picked up a pair of last years model of FJ. I had read a lot of reviews and needed shoes anyway, so was glad to find some closeouts for around $80. It felt a little strange the first time I tightened the knob, but there are no tight or loose spots, it just felt nice and snug. Almost like you foot is being shrink wrapped to the sole of the shoe. Went to the golf dome (live in Michigan, still cold and snow on the ground) and felt good to wear them. It will be nice after a long round to just pull the knob out and pull them off my feet. You will want to use a shoe horn, so you don't break down the back of the shoe. Carl's Golfland gave me one with the shoes.

I actually sell golf shoes and the only other way to tighten your laces is too....... tie them. I have a pair of the FJ's with the boa's (I have like 7 pairs of golf shoes) and the FJ's are my favorite. I would recommend buying a pair.

FJ BOA shoes are great I have a few pair of them.  It's a great system, just turn the dial to tighten and pull it out to release.   System  seems to be built well, though I've never tried to over tighten my shoes to see if it would break.

I usually wear my BOA's when the forecast calls for rain or the course is muddy so I don't have to worry about dirty shoelaces.
