Not sure if this is the right area, but I'll throw it out there and it can be moved in necessary.. While poking around last night looking for rates and course reviews for my upcoming trip to Myrtle Beach (June 10-14), I came across the mbn.com website. (Which seems to be the site for ALL of the courses unless you really dive in and try and find the actual course site) A pop-up ad came up and said to take this little survey and get a free round of golf... "yeah, yeah..okay", I thought. It asked 3 questions- "What did you come to mbn.com to check?" I chose "rates", When are you planning your trip"... "June". And enter your email... next page had a few questions on age, gender, etc... Now, I have a couple of email accounts I use for just this kind of stuff so I put one of my 'spammer accounts'. Within 5 minutes I had a voucher for an afternoon play at Blackmoor(cart fee extra). Meh, played it before and liked it, but it's a bit of a hike as far as I was concerned for THIS trip. I'll keep it, just in case. I went back and filled in another using a different email- A voucher for an afternoon time @ MBN West INCLUDING cart. THAT one I'll keep, it's a bit closer and easier to get to from the Long Bay. It wasn't on my original list of three(Palmetto, Pine Lakes and BL Love) but since Palmetto will be plugging that week, I was looking for an alternate. I'll make sure to call them a week or so ahead just to be sure it's valid, though. It looks pretty legit- mbn.com seems to be the clearing house for ALL the courses anyway, so how fake can it be. Just wanted to give a heads up if anyone is heading down there in the next couple of months- vouchers say they're good until October.

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
    • Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
