Yep, I'm guilty of that scenario too.

It doesn't happen during every round, but when the first one occurs - paranoia immediately takes over.

And I rarely just do it once. It's an amazing feeling when it finally disappears.

I don't know what causes that a lot of times I have hit a pitching wedge shank 3 times in a row...never playing but have done it on the range. I did not feel lined up right ...its either over the top or a block....tin cup'$ caddy. "El hosel , no one knows where they come from" I saw a shank by a pro who did it with a 5 iron Tom Kite

I agree. This frustrates me to no end.

What I hate the most is a beautiful short shot that lands close to the hole, but is followed by a missed putt.

Decelerating on a chip with my 60°... Drives me insane.

Teeing the ball up a quarter inch on a par 3 and then hitting it fat, into the water.

scuff the ground with your putter...frustrating ...shows up like a shank I wonder if the pros do this?

When a group is waiting for you to play through at the next tee box and everyone is standing there watching, expecting to see something spectacular.
Happened about 2 weeks ago. I topped the drive that burned a trail of grass all the way to a water hazard 50 yards away. That was followed by an awkward silence. I just hung my head and drove to the drop.

yeah this one can make you feel like a "tour pro" or the tiniest man on Earth.  Such a relief to hit a decent shot when strangers are watching.

Absolutely this. It always comes out of left field too. On the rare occassion it does happen, I'll be playing well and then all of a sudden.....hosel rocket. Frustrating!

Any short game shot that should be easy and I blow it by  peeking, get too quick, don't set up correct, etc.  Can really raise the blood pressure (and score unfortunately).

My second shot from time-to-time becomes an issue, especially after a great drive. It makes me crazy.

Skulling a chip from one side of the green.... to the other

For me it's a no-brainer..............................

If I'm anywhere around the hole in the "MAKE ZONE"........and I miss the putt because I couldn't roll the ball down my intended line.  Nothing upsets me more than missing an easy putt because I missed my intended line.

I agree with the short putt misses becoming the most frustrating, however, the feel and sound of topping a short drive is the worst! GRRRR... I did that twice in a row today; same location and same distance. I can say I was consistent!

This REALLY gets me... this is the key ingredient to a blow up game for me, 99% of the time the other is any putt hit too hard and off the green which doesnt happen very often but when it does watch out!
