My Swing (rb224315)

I've been Playing Golf for: 25 years since my first round, but played more than 2 rounds in only about 5 of those years.

My current handicap index or average score is: 95

My typical ball flight is: Reasonably straight but not terribly long.  My 6 iron carries 165 on average.

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Fat & thin shots; I don't hook or slice a whole lot.

I'm looking for more consistent contact and the elusive "effortless" swing.  See my comments below the video for my analysis of the swing.  (I don't want to influence your analysis before you see the swing.)

The 2 things I see are easier to catch if the video is run in slow motion but they are visible in real time: 1) my transition is whacky.  The club doesn't settle at the top, it stops ever so briefly and then my hands rise, taking the club on an upward path.  I don't always unhinge really early but if I'm not careful I'll unhinge early and cast the club.  2)  My heels both come off the ground right about the time the club contacts the ball.  This could be a major cause of inconsistent contact.  Could this be because my weight is too far forward?  Should my weight be on my heels instead, or somewhere between?
