I'm 17 and play off around 7 and ive been looking for a new set of players irons. ive been thinking along the lines of cobra s3 pro's, titleist cb or mb's or even the cleveland 588. I am currently playing a cheap set of JK crew ts-12 irons and find that they dont come up to scratch. does anyone know much about these irons or have any other suggestions?

I agree with this guy Ci11 are a great set of irons.  If money is no object by all means go for the Titleist, but if you are on a bit of a budget check out some Adams CB or A12 you can probably pick them up for cheaper and they are amazing irons.  Long story short try out tons of different clubs and someone of your caliber (or any caliber) will notice the biggest difference if you get fit properly for shaft length and shaft type and model.

Not sure if you are interested in Mizuno, but I'm really happy with my MP 59s. The MP 64s and 69s are great clubs too.

Most blades and players irons from the major manufacturers will perform well, so I would pick the set that fits your eye and inspires confidence then go get fit properly.

Out of the choices you listed....the Titleist MBs are legit.

Personally. . .the one's you DEMO, and like the best, those are the one's I'D buy. . .I'm just saying.

Demo EVERYthing out there young dude.  I have TMade, Nike, Cleveland clubs bagged.  The only Titleist clubs I've ever like are the Scotty putters.  The clubs don't feel right, neither do Mizunos.

Maybe a PING driver, Callaway irons, and cleveland wedges are the way to go.

The Wilsons Ci11 are a great option, but if you want forged and forgiveness, check out the Cobra Amp Forged irons. Loved mine. If you want something with a little more feel, check out the Adams CMB irons. Probably the best irons I have played.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
