I demo'd almost every major iron set from every major manufacturer out there when I was in the market for a new set. It took me about a week of testing and I pulled the trigger on the Rocketbladez without hesitation.

To each is own and I know that there are plenty of Taylormade haters out there because of their brash marketing but I have not been disappointed. These irons are absolutely incredible. At first, I didn't get them fitted and I found that I was having a little bit of a problem with consistency, and I mean it was minor but still enough to bother me. Once I got the irons fitted I was completely blown away. It's not the distance that is the clincher (an average of 5 to 7 yards more per club than my old set) it's everything else. The look, feel, sound, look at address and the confidence these irons inspire. When struck pure, the trajectory is jaw dropping; high and piercing, not ballooning. The ball lands nice and soft which is critical for scoring irons when you are pin seeking. They are very forgiving for a players iron but still provide the feedback you are looking for when you do mishit one.

These irons are definitely going to be in my bag for a long time as they do live up to the hype. I'm consistently making great contact and the result is such a sense of accomplishment. My golfing buddies are jealous because most of their ball flights are fairly boring and standard (good players though) and they love to watch my ball soar. Some of my friends do not like the clubs but they're not for everyone. I love them and I'm so glad that I made the right purchase because we all know how hard it is to make a decision when you're ready for new irons, being such a critical element of your golf set.
