I dunno, my Grandfather seems to have the same opinion of Faldo as the aforementioned poster.  When I started watching golf 3-5 years ago, I remember watching a round with him and he said something like, "how about this Faldo?  Who would have known he'd be a good commentator?"  He went on to imply that he didn't have a very good personality when playing.  I knew nothing about it, still don't.

That's quite true, on course he kept to himself and could've been misunderstood as stand off-ish but you can see he does have a good personality now that he's commentating. I personally think Faldo and Azinger are the two best commentators in the game of golf.
