Index Finger on Grip

So, in trying to figure out my new grip, a stronger grip. I do like a stronger grip, it really does help me out a ton. It takes so much thinking out of the shot through impact for me.

But, i was working on keeping my right hand stronger. I have a tough time because i am so use to throwing it over the club, instead of keeping it more to the side. So i was messing around, and then i don't know why but i placed the my right hand on the club and my right index finger was more down the grip. My right index finger would form a hook, like if your holding a gun, and looping it around the trigger. The grip would lay there in the hook, and i would feel the grip along the the three segments to the right index finger. This really helped me feel the club in the backswing. Before i would have the right index finger closer to the middle finger, like how the pinky through middle finger grip the club. and with a stronger grip it the club would feel like its in the gap between the thumb and the index finger, it just felt weird and unstable.

I am wondering if anybody else had experience with this. I read a book recently that talked about forming a pincher between the thumb and index finger, to support the club. I found this description very close to what i was feeling today.
