Where did Tstrike go?

Or Pablo68?

Not sure who those people are.  Pablo sounds familiar.

Wasn't Pablo68's avatar a monkey with a gun or something. He's been around it seems.

Nope, changed on this post.

Yeah, I miss these comments, because they were funny yet based upon years of golfing experience telling us how ridiculous some topics are through sarcasm. (Deep down, we have to admit it would be nice to hit a 7 iron 170 and a driver 300)

Take this one for example (read referenced posts within as well):

Soon tour pro cracks me up sometimes.  Mike Austin was apparently swinging at 155+ MPH in 1930.

How did they measure that? a1_smile.gif)

Thank you, Famous Davis.

Yep. That thread is a Classic. We need a TST HoF where classics such as that can be enshrined. We'd need strict critera, like a thread needs to be X amount of years old before it can be up for consideration.

I'll start that thread later this evening.

I nominate the following threads for consideration, but understand if some of these aren't worthy.

Key to My Power.

I definitely agree that the Ping Eye 2's thread may be the best one ever though.

Opinions on my potential?? was pretty funny too, but I dunno. I do remember enjoying myself when it was going on, but in retrospect I'm not sure it stood the test of time.

Ian Poulter -- Ass is pretty classic, but I dunno if that digs up one too many graves a3_biggrin.gif

I guess the Jimbo Slice thread deserves consideration as well.

Which ones am I forgetting, guys?

I wish Jimbo had stuck around. Consider all the lording it over people he could have done.

He had one heck of a thread going. Could have started his own blog site with the number of hits he had on it.

The anchored putters thread has to be one of the biggest ones we have.

And although I wasn't really involved in it much, I remember the thread about Haney's book was quite popular for some time last year.

There were a couple threads by either a high school kid or a kid just out of high school who wanted to go pro.  Posted a swing vid and everything.  He was boasting a 3 handicap or so, but didn't look very good.  The thread got pretty interesting for a while.  He may have been from PA or Indiana.

Pretty much any Gilberg thread. Fave one was about the "free" Dunlop driver and the B.A. uncle.

Those were pretty big battlegrounds but I dunno if they are HoF material, I mean if Famous Davis' Ping Eye 2 thread is the benchmark we need to be very careful not to water down the hall. I would say that Gilberg has penned a few that are worth consideration but certainly not all his material, I'm with 14ledo81 in thinking that the Dunlop driver may be his best work.

I know it's still a young thread but ProGolf's distance thread was pretty spectacular.
