I've been Playing Golf for: several years

My current handicap index or average score is: 15 index, but it's on the rise. Been shooting around 100 lately. For a while I was down to a 12, shooting in the 80s often, but with a flawed swing. I've since been working on fixing it but have been all over the place in the process.

My typical ball flight is: right now I'm so all over the map I don't even have a "typical," but I've always been a slicer

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: the slice and the compensating pull hook

It seems my swing is different every day these days as I continually tinker and search. These swings below are an 8 iron, trying my best to focus on weigh forward without doing a reverse pivot (that's been a problem for me lately).

The one thing I noticed was that you flip your wrists slightly during impact.

As you can see your left wrist is flipped through impact. I have been working on eliminating the same thing. Try to work on keeping that left wrist firm through impact.

try a steeper take away. your club comes away from the ball to the inside alot which is causing and over the top swing.

The face on video looks like you might be struggling with a one piece take away. One drill my pro showed me was to put a ball down then one about an inch behind it and what i take away focus on pushing that ball straight back. It has helped me tremendously when i tend to get "handsy" with my take away.

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.  
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down. 
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.   
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.  
    • Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
