I've been Playing Golf for: 12 Years

My current handicap index or average score is: 12-15

My typical ball flight is: Medium

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: The slice off of the tee.

Sorry for the tilt, also the 4i in the way. My golf bag isn't the best tripod. I can't hit a straight drive to save my life this season. Please help!

Yup, looks like West Texas.  ;)  Might that be the Rawls driving range?    Been intending to go there.

Do you slice only with the driver?   How about fairway woods?   Long irons?       Any side spin on short iron shots?  Have you taken this problem to a pro?

My video is messed up so I saw only one series one time and not high rez then.    On the side view your whole club position at the top is obscured.

One comment I can make is to not be embarrassed before camera or onlookers.  Complete your swing and be proud, slice and all.   You are one of a mighty majority!

Thanks for the reply! These video's aren't really great in the first place. I will make sure to post more!

This is actually Stoney Ridge in Childress, TX, my hometown. The Rawls is (I can't say prettier) but much nicer! Also a wreck on my emotions lol. But if you ever make it out to Lubbock, let me know! We can go hack out a round there. Just be prepared to throw a bit of cash at it.

I only slice my driver consistently. My irons are either right on, or a ball striking problem. So no side spin I believe. My fairway woods are usually a pretty good fade, but sometime I lose control to the slice and can tell right when I make contact.

I planned on taking this to the local pro this morning but he was not there so I ended up playing 27 holes. I slowed down my drive to stay in the fairway. It worked for the most part, took it down to a pretty extreme fade on the lower end of slice. It also cut down my distance to anywhere from 180-220. That is unacceptable.

I'll be sure to pack my wallet with $1 bills.

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
