Looking to go on a golf trip in Michigan?

Anyone take a golf vacation in Michigan? I'd like to stay in the Lower Peninsula preferably. Just want to hear some reviews on any resorts or places you have been to golf. Probably looking for a 4 day/3 night stay. Thanks!

Garland, Tree Top, Arcadia, Boyne, Crystal Mountain.   Too many good ones to list.   The greens this time of the year with all of the rain are very lush and everything is very green.  You can't go wrong in the upper LP. (lower peninsula)

Yep, there are tons of options. It would help to know your budget and what you are looking for in courses. Treetops and the Boyne properties are excellent as is Shanty Creek. They all offer a variety of courses. I've heard Arcadia Bluffs in beautiful but you are limited to the one course.

Leaving in 12 days! Have played a couple dozen courses in  Michigan. Great area and weather. This trip we plan on playing the following:

Black Lake UAW

The Tribute

Bay Harbor

Tree Tops - Rick Smith Signature

Tree Tops - Jones Masterpiece

Acadia Bluffs

You really can't go wrong in Upper Michigan area..Enjoy!

      Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.

      I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.

      Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
