Bomb Tech Grenade Driver

I noticed a lot of comments on a couple of golf forums about the Bomb Tech Grenade driver after asking if anyone has ever hit it. Has anyone on this golf forum hit it, and if so, what are your comments on it.

Why?

So many good, prior editions drivers out there, why do you want to dick with something called "Bomb Tech Grenade?"

When you take it out of your bag, I'm sure a bird will shit all over it... or you will blow up over it... so I'd say

no.

Haha! That sounds familiar.

Lew, there's going to be a demo ran over at FGI. There's an interesting thread over there right now.

Aside from your ignorance, what's your problem?

Desmond, are you just a golfer or are you also a clubmaker/clubfitter? I have been custom building golf clubs for over 15 years and never had a customer come back dissatisfied. You seem to have a problem which I can see in LBlack14's comment to you.

It's uncalled for. If you can't contribute meaningfully, don't contribute.

I don't have any direct experience with the Bomb Tech Grenade, but I've heard from one person who loves his.

I just got one in for a review. Should get out to try it this weekend.

In a time of war, I found the name offensive. I have nothing against components, but the name is ridiculous

Desmond, are you aware that a component company named Tour Swing has a driver head named the "XPLODE", so I guess you feel this is also a bad name too.

As Mr. Desmond clearly has nothing of value to add to this thread, he's been restricted from it. Sorry Lew. :)

Component companies are fine there is not some big secret to making good golf equipment its a piece of metal on the end of a stick. Jameson what do you think of yorus? Is this a long drive type driver like the Alphas and some of those other component makers?

Hmmm, should be interesting.  It is an odd name ... that sort of makes me think of late night Golf Channel informercials, and also makes me think of Jack Hamm.  :)

On the other hand, I went and checked out the website, and it looks a lot like a green version of the Covert.

Can't wait to read your review!

Erik, I understand where Desmond is coming from since he has no club making or clubfitting experience. I never shoot anyone down for trying get info out on their new golf product. My impression is that he appears to be negative on most of his comments. Thanks for omitting him from this thread.

It's kind of backwards of the Covert. The Covert has the one cut-out in the middle, the Grenade has two of them in the corners.

The review will have better pictures, but here's a quick one I took with my iPhone:

Haven't gotten to hit it yet. It does look a bit more simple than most of the OEM drivers, but it's not really a component head.

Neonlew, check out Cristos review, he seems to love it and he's scratch.
