I am currently looking to buy a golf bag cart. Some local shops have some great deals going on right now and I want to take advantage. However, I am not sure as to whether or not I want a push or a pull cart. Would anyone recommend one over the other?

Also, are there any definitive advantages to paying more for a cart? Based on my assumptions, price shouldn’t really be a factor as they all seem to serve the same purpose. Would a $90 model really "out-perform" a $40 one? Thanks in advance.

I'm shopping for the same thing and will definitely be getting a three wheel push cart over a pull cart. The three wheels is way easier on your back and is not awkward to get around the course. I've used the pull carts quite a bit and don't really like them much. From the testimonies I've heard from users the push carts are the way to go.

Can't speak to the quality difference.

I've decided to go with a BagBoy:

That would have been my choice early on, but I am definitely saving up for a three wheel cart as they are way easier on your back, have more room for balls, tees, snack, water etc... The biggest thing for me is I'll feel better after 18 holes of pushing than dragging a cart.

Just my 2 cents

My friend has a 3-wheel push cart. He actually recommended that I find a good pull cart, because his seems like a pain to use, needing to apply the brake all the time to prevent rolling (which it frequently does), to name one annoyance.

I can always purchase the add-on wheel in the future, in order to turn the M-310 into a push cart.

I decided to get the BagBoy LT-450, instead. I was in Dick's and decided to upgrade. After using a coupon and a gift card, I got the $80 cart for $42. Not bad. I used it today for 9 holes and loved it. I look forward to using it tomorrow morning. Great deal on a great cart

  • 8 months later...

ah the joy of the "search" button

Alright guys..I played yesterday and humped my PING L7, as usual, for a round. Think I'm gettin old..I'm sore. Thin "Srow"asked if push is better than or not compared to a pull. Not sure which site it was but they said the push was better because it doesn't fatigue the muscle as a pull cart would..I guess pushing is better than pulling when it comes to your swing muscles.

Anyway..still looking over to see if I should get the trike in BagBoy or SunMountain..think the Bagboy is a little cheaper. I really don't want to spend too much more than $100.

    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
    • Day 1: Spent some time hitting some balls. Working on my hips and a “soft” and straight trail arm.
