2003 Mercedes Benz C230 Coupe. Fun little supercharged RWD car. But god awful in the snow. Had a 1988 Wrangler that I used for off roading and snow, but wrecked it this past winter.

Land Rover Discovery 4 SDV6 HSE. A mouthful, but a great ride. Highway, dirt, goat track, rock-strewn hillside -- the Disco gives not a single ****. Also seats seven, has every techno bell and whistle known to man and the turbodiesel pulls like a train.

I love the way Land Rovers look and ride but my god do they break a lot and when they do they are just a giant money pit.

Sold my 2007 Honda Civic LX coupe with 73,000 miles on it for $9,000 (pretty good investment since I paid a little under $16,000) and bought a 2011 Honda Odyssey EX-L.  We've got a new baby girl - and are hoping to add a baby boy in the near future - so the coupe got to be pretty impractical.  The Odyssey is awesome for a family because it holds everything you could possibly need to carry, and still get great mileage.  Another bonus is the safety rating... insurance actually went down a couple of bucks a month even though the Odyssey cost well over twice as much as the Civic.

Busy last 12 months for me and vehicles.  Traded the Jag in for a Navigator.  Kept that for 3 months and all of it's 12mpg on the highway.  Traded the Nav in for a Trailblazer, which we still have.  Our main vehicle, an 05' F150 s/crew lost it's transmission at 60000kms (37282mi).  Replaced it, then the engine went at 78000kms, neither of which were covered under warranty, according to the dealer.  What a that turned out to be!!!   The rear-end was also a bit loose when I traded it in.  Sad really, all I ever used were top brand fluids, meticulous maintenance, etc...  I traded that piece of junk in on a brand new 11' GMC Sierra Crew 4x4.  Needless to say, my wife has inherited the Trailblazer, and I drive the new baby, ha ha.

 

Although......I do miss the Jag, muahahaha.....

I must say I dont get why people like Jags to me they look like a fancy version of an old Ford Taurus and dont drive nearly as well as comparable BMWs and Mercedes models.

Where do people get off on them, they are like a slightly worse more expensive cross between a mercedes and a BMW that looks like a ford.

LOL, yes, I can see the resemblance to the Taurus.....well, I mean they both have tires made from rubber I suppose.

Since Jag used to be owned by Ford, there were some models that were greatly influenced by them, namely the X-Type and the S-Type. I've driven both and yes it is pretty much a glorified Taurus. The higher class you go like the XJ, XK, etc, Ford didn't touch them too much. At least I don't think so. They're now owned by Tata Motors since 2008 and I think they're doing a better job on making Jaguar look more "modern" looking to rival the likes of BMW and Mercedes. They've also discontinued the X-Type and S-Type, which were good calls. But they're only left with 3 models and usually it takes a company 5-6 years to fully implement changes in dealers, manufacturing, service centers, etc, so we still have yet to see more from Jaguar and Tata.

Tell me these dont look too much alike for you not to buy a better driving German car.... Or just save your self 25 grand and get the taurus instead.

 

All golf balls are round, so they must be the same.  I can generalize as well.   The "E" in E-type must stand for Escort.  Anyway, I think we are getting a bit off topic here.  Anyone else have a pic of their daily driver or special weekend trailer queen?

I have a 2011 Mazda 3s hatchback with the manual transmission. If you skip the luxury upgrades like sunroof and leather a good value and the most enjoyable of the non special edition models in this type car to drive day to day. Not a class leader in mileage, but since I don't drive a lot of miles the extra power and handling compared to competitors matters more, plus with a hatch carrying golf gear is a breeze for up to 3 people.

 

 

Not what I expected from MOPARman...

Cough, cough......  I no longer have any Mopars in the stable, no.  This was my last Dodge.
