Caddies do the darndest things

Since starting to watch the LPGA on a regular basis, I've grown more and more annoyed at things the caddies do, not just on the ladies' tour, but on the PGA Tour as well.

It started with many caddies standing directly behind some ladies as she addresses the ball on every shot (you know, because if it weren't for the caddie lining her up she'd surely hit it in the woods every shot).

Then I got annoyed when Stacy Lewis' caddie, Travis, decided he needed to walk into a bunker in order to properly assess her shot (subsequently getting penalized 2 shots for testing the conditions of a hazard).

I started watching caddies more on both tours, and now I'm getting annoyed at their pin-tending techniques.  I doubt any caddies read this, but they can't hear me yelling at the TV either.

Look guys...once your golfer has hit his putt, you can pull the pin.  You don't need to leave it in the cup so the ball knows where the hole is.  One of these days you're going to get one of those pins that gets stuck a little and your last-minute pull will result in a penalty because you allowed the ball to hit the flagstick.

And while I'm at it, I realize sometimes it sticks when you try to pull it, but trying to avoid that by pulling it partway out and holding the pin at an angle, with the bottom just resting in the cup, isn't a good idea.  The edges of the cup are kind of tender and resting the flagstick against them will get angry looks from fellow players and groundskeepers alike.  WHY IS THIS HAPPENING ON TOUR??!!

That's all.  Just had to get that rant off my chest.

What kinds of stupid caddie tricks have you seen lately?  I'm sure I missed some.

Giving Bubba the wrong club and yardage.

LOL  I loved that one.  Makes you wonder if Bubba hit it just to say "I told ya so."  There's something to be said for trusting your caddie more than you, especially when you know your unique game better than anyone else on the planet.

Caddies on tour do exactly what their players want them to do. It's common practice on the LPGA for the caddie to line them up on shots. It's within the rules. Nothing wrong with this.
