Hello! This is my first post and I'm excited to be here! My question involves the process and materials needed to refinish golf clubs. From the research I have done online so far, using a grinding wheel and a sandblaster (with glass beads) are both good ways to make old clubs look new. I have both but have never used them on clubs. I will only be refinishing satin irons but would also like any information on different finishes that can be applied. I have read about gun finishes and POV finishes put have been warned they come off easily. Any information on that would be appreciated. Also a step by step procedure on how to actually refinish the clubs would be helpful. And finally I have heard of people refinishing without using a grinder or sandblaster but instead using sandpaper and some chemical (coke) to remove the finish? If this is another option more information would be needed. Any other helpful tips regarding this subject are gladly excepted. Thanks a lot!

Send an email to Golfworks they have literature on exact procedures or they can do it for you. PGA tour players go to them for re-scoring the grooves in their irons, etc.

Thanks Jeff for the suggestion. When I email them will they email me back a step by step process or will they call me?

GolfWorks has a department which does repair and refurb work on clubs.

For refurb work on irons and putters, cost runs from $60 a club for rechroming down to $16 a club for wheel-cleaning. Refinishing metalwoods runs about $46 a club.

You would have to contact GW about how-to instructions.

Focus, connect and follow through!
