I originally bought an Odyssey DART long putter but cut it down so it could be a belly putter for me. I am 6'5. Now that anchoring will be banned I cut it down more to use as a conventional putter. It feels super heavy. Any thoughts on whether this is a bad idea considering it was a long putter originally? Not sure if I should reshaft it to get weight right. I am not even sure it's a bad thing or not.

Taking a long putter and turning it into a standard putter is a bad idea. The weight/balance/angle will all be off. You would be better off to reshaft as a long putter, sell it, and buy a standard.
