Your golf handicap trend ... up or down, why? - Page 2

i'm going down a little. I've got the feeling i can shoot low 70 scores. but just not seem to finish it off.

Basically this comes from me playing more rounds off golf than the last few years, and me not bombing

driver on every hole but think my way round the course better.

With my new fitted clubs i find more fairways and hit more greens. that helps also

My index is definitely trending downward.  I started the year with a 20.1 (handicap first established at that point).  Around that time I posted to the "What are your goals for the year" thread that I hoped to get my handicap down to 15.  It trended upward to a high of 20.7 in mid March.  Then a pretty steady series of lessons and daily range time started to kick in and it began to drop steadily.  By mid May it was at 15.7 when I got my 913D2 and it promptly dropped to 13.3 (my home course has a LOT of water, and straighter drives really help!).  It has been slowly dropping since, but I'm not hitting enough GIR and when I do my lag putting could be better.  I'm putting more practice time into the longer irons and putting, so hopefully the trend will continue for a bit, though I won't kid myself into thinking there will be any more big drops.

Every year I go from a handicap of 6 in summer time to a 9 handicap in winter
I'm currently off 9 and I'm starting to feel good bout my swing again, and surprise Its starting to warm up.
I don't if its the weather or more than likely, my head and what's going on in there:-\
