Well, I was just reading all the previews here at The Sandtrap (mine included ), and I noticed that this week may be a low key week for the PGA, but some of the other tournaments look interesting.

The Senior PGA will be somewhat interesting because Erik is there this week, and the course is phenomenal. If Greg Norman would have made his appearance, it really would have done well. With guys like Jay Haas playing some now, it makes it better in my views.

The LPGA event will mark the 2nd time Big Break III winner Danielle Amiee will be teeing it up with the big girls. That should be interesting, as she usually makes things when she arrives somewhere. She has already said she will feel more comfortable this week. So will she make the cut?? Who knows..

Speaking of Big Break winners, Kip Henley will be playing in the PGA FedEx St. Jude Classic this week. He missed the cut last week in the Nationwide event, but he qualified for this event as well. So that will be something to follow..

Also, on the European Tour, this week's event could quite possibly be the strongest event. I think Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, and some others will be playing. That should be some good golf as well.

So even though the PGA event is kinda down this week, the other tours should make for a solid weekend of golf.

What does everyone else think? Maybe nobody else cares.

I care! I made my picks for the Senior PGA having watched many of the guys hit shots, and Jay Haas was one of 'em.

    • Committing to one brand of ball this year - Snell MTB Prime X, the 5 doz. pack. Like how they perform for me. At $18/doz., can live with cover scuffing. Iron regripping with GolfPrice MCC+4 Teams std. in red/navy. May be retiring Odyssey Dual Force after 30 yrs. Seems like I can't get it to the hole anymore. Kind of light and has lots of toe hang. My reg. group's hounding finally wore me down.    From Callaway preowned - trying out the Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K in double wide (less toe hang) and triple wide (face balanced). Both also noticeably heavier...we shall see.
    • WOW, it looks like he has been hitting stones with that putter to put all of those nicks into it.  I can't see how a ball would cause many those dings.
    • I'm fighting a knee as well as a foot so I "Feel your pain".  Luckily for me the PT is helping at this time and I am hoping knee surgery is not imminent.  Best of luck to you.
    • I would guess putting grooves in it might make it non-conforming. I am not sure how stringent the USGA is on restoring golf clubs.
    • If PT doesn't work, then all other options (shots) are just temporary bandages of the pain. You may do more damage. Pain is the bodies way of telling you to STOP. Once you get rid of that, you are just now using an already damaged body part and put more stress and strain on it.
