how to politely tell somebody they are BAD at golf? - Page 5

Etiquette is a code of expected behaviour and it goes both ways. Since we are expected to be smart enough to not intentionally place others in danger of physical injury by hitting into them, choosing to intentionally do so is a HUGE breach of etiquette that far outweighs being held up by slow play, not to mention the fact it could lead to serious injury to someone else. So before someone begins to berate others and loosely throw around insults, it would behoove them to check their own manners and those of the rest of their group, to be sure none are guilty of breaching etiquette yourselves before casting those stones.

I would report it to the club house if he is slowing down the pace.  Other than that I would leave it alone.  That is just me of course.

Right? It's a constant source of amazement to me how those who demonstrate the worst behavior are the first ones to call out others.

And your point is directed at me?
Are you jetsnicks dad or something?
Do you share the same optician?
My etiquette is perfectly reasonable and I have never been pulled up on it, even as a beginner! I can't say the same for everyone I've played with, I personally never confront, bully, or put anyone in danger!
Have either of you actually ever read a post properly without jumping up and down on someone! Your just stating the obvious, whilst misinterpretating others comments! It's neither clever, amusing or enlightening, so just move on hey, your being repetitive!

To tell someone they are they are bad, and I'm nowhere near the best at the game... But, I would just tell them, in the nicest of terms that they are... Well.... Poo! :D

Blah, blah, blah. You drop into this thread, insulting any golfer who has the misfortune of being in front of you, I mean they're clearly not worthy to be out there right? Admit to playing with somebody who hits into other groups and try's to bully them which says something about yourself since people tend to gravitate toward those who are like minded and when called out on it, you then want to move on. Typical troll behavior.

Hmm, I'm a monster ain't I!
A troll would be laughing his cock of at you man! Your like a dog with a bone!
I don't insult ANY golfer, just those with poor etiquette, no one is worthy to rudely butt in the middle of someone's game and then play like a spastic without playing through! ...Apart from you quite obviously!
Of course ill admit to playing with someone less tolerant than me! It's hardly a confession! It has no bearing on my personality whatsoever!
Expert on human behaviour as well??
with your psychological mumbo jumbo gravitational theory!

You! My good man,... are a plum!
Who demonstrates typical plum behaviour,
and who probably gravitates towards other plums?

I love plums.

The creed I'd go by is if someone is bad someone is bound to tell them. And it also prevents me from getting punched in the face. I bruise easily.

You could always quote the happy Gilmore movie. "You're gonna need a towel, cause you're never getting off that beach. You know, say something classy like that. *sarcastic eye rolling*

Golf isn't like singing. Most people that are bad are already well aware of it and don't need to be told or reminded.

I'm from North America, plums are fruits. Plus I'm not a kid. So if your logic is right you are an advocate of plums and your name should be hard plums instead of hard balls.
