Planning a trip next year for 16 golfers. This will be our 22nd year. We have been to the following locations:

Myrtle Beach

Robert Trent Jones Trail

Michigan

Brainerd, Minn.

Scottsdale

I have been researching Pacific Northwest. Oregon is out since my group is over 50 and likes to drink while golfing. No walking! We need carts to carry our beer!

Have played Coeur d'Alene Resort and while nice we are looking for more of a challenge.

I want to do Seattle and Tacoma area but my main concern is weather. We would play in August. The Spokane Valley and Idaho Trail looks promising, but travel between courses looks far.

We like to play 36 a day at different golf courses same day. So the drive between courses need to be less than 30 minutes apart.

We play 6-8 rounds per trip depending on expenses.

So in short:

  1. Minimum 6 Very Good Golf Courses 4* or better.
  2. Need condos with kitchens
  3. Close proximity between courses.
  4. Cool weather. (Live in Houston. It's HOT in August!)

Thanks so much fellas...

August in Seattle is great.  80 and sunny today.  Course pairings per day…. Chambers Bay and The Home Course. Oops, too bad, you have to walk Chambers. You could substitute Salish Cliffs...its a longer drive, 45 minutes according to Google.   Druids Glen and Washington National.  The two Newcastle courses, China Creek and Coal Creek.   Across the sound by ferry, Trophy Lake and Gold Mountain.   You could drive to Suncadia (Cle Elum) and play the two courses there, Rope Rider and Prospector.

All are very nice courses.  The only one I haven't played this year is Salish but its supposed to be quite good.  I am playing China Creek Friday.  I played Rope Rider two weeks ago and am going to play there again and Prospector in September.  Too bad you would miss Chambers Bay because you have to walk.

That should keep you busy.  It would be a great trip.

Hi! I live here in Spokane and there are plenty of challenging and affordable options here. The two better courses are Circling Raven at the CDA casino and then Palouse Ridge in Pullman at the university. I would say that Indian Canyon, Qualchan, and Meadowwood are the best City/County options. Mike
