Stance width for broad shoulders?

i played baseball for 15 years and i feel more stable with a wider stance. my golf stance isnt as wide as a baseball stance for sure. However, im aware how wide i get and try to change up my stance width a lot. i cant get too narrow with my woods or i dont feel stable at all. my 6-9 irons, and wedge stances are fairly close but not as close as others.

say from your sw, pw, 9, 8, etc how far in inches do you move?  i tend to stand the same with for all my woods, even my rescue club, should i shorten these stances?

i wonder if width plays in missing left and right of target? not hooks and slices just missing left and right.

I tend to prefer a narrower stance than most. A narrower stance lets you control low point better. Also lets you move your hips forward more easily.
