Gaps in my yardage. Help

As of right now I have a driver, 3 wood and 5 wood. 4 iron - PW and 54 and 60 wedges plus a putter. which totals 13 clubs. I crush my 5 iron but as of right now I'm not the biggest fan of my 4 iron. I hit my driver between 250-300. My 3 wood 225-250 and 5 wood 200-225. I hit a 5 iron about 200 on a good day. I'm considering a hybrid after my 5 wood replacing a 3 and 4 iron ill be lacking when i buy a new set of irons. I want to buy 5-PW. after the PW i have a 54 and a 60 wedge. the 54 is essentially my sand wedge and the 60 is my lob. Am i setting up my wedges wrong? is this doable? i'm fairly comfortable at hitting wedges different lengths.

my gap seems to be between the 4 hybrid and the 5 iron( like 40 yards)

I'm thinking 5 wood & 5HB and ditching the 4Hb & 56 wedge

I see a small one in your PW to 54, but they are on the controllable end of the club set. I barely use my 56 wedge any more.

yes, Ive been thinking about an gap wedge. like a 50 maybe? 50-54-60? What is the usual loft on a PW 46?

I feel like i need something between 5w and 5i. what kind of hybrid is good for replacing 3i and 4i?

A TM 4Hybrid are sick long and controllable. I happen to think a 4hybrid is one of the easiest clubs to hit and the ball lands soft at 21/22 degrees it should fit nicely in your bag between 5 iron and 5w. The 4hybrid should go as long or long than your 3 iron, choke down 3/4-1 inch and its will go as long as your 4 iron.

Very versatile. Plus it will get back into scoring position on a par 5 if your drive gets a little wayward.

With some exception most PW are now in 46 degree range, players clubs & blades on the other hand tend to be around 48, keep in mind all your others clubs have a separation  of about 3-4 degrees of loft. How ever when you get into wedges you can spread things out to more like 6 degrees without to much yardage change. Meaning if your PW is 46, you could go 52 and 58 in wedges if you can only bag 2 clubs.  My hybrids are the taylormade tour model, so I have the 5H turned up to a 6 iron loft and my 3H turned down slightly in loft. I mistaken wrote 4h in my post above.

Thank you. I've decided to get the 4H to fill my wood-iron gap. I'm looking at Taylor Made Rocketbladez Tour irons, 5-PW GW. That should fill my wedge gap. The loft of the approach is 51.5*. Im looking for something like 50*. Isnt there a way to bed the club a little? Like at a repair shop? or should i skip the GW and buy a third cleveland wedge at 50*?

Loft on the RBZ Tour short irons and set wedges:

• 9i = 42* / 35.75" shaft
• PW = 47* / 35.5" shaft
• AW = 51.5* / 35.5" shaft

If you have CG15 or CG16 wedges:

• GW = 50* or 52* / shaft 35.5"
• SW = 54* / shaft 35.375"
• LW = 60* / shaft 35.25"

Your RBZ PW and AW will probably have a hotter face than the Cleveland wedges - they may hit the ball a bit farther for the comparative loft and shaft length. Also, note that RBZ PW and AW have same shaft length. You may not get a whole lot of distance difference between the two.

Still, you may have a yardage bunch-up between the RBZ AW and the Cleveland SW. Won't know until you hit them.

When you the RBZ Tours, you might start off by hitting the PW and your Cle SW. Find out the distance between the two. Then, decide on what you want to do for a GW or AW (if at all). One solution might be to bend the RBZ PW 1* weak to 48*, and go with 48-54-60. IF you have a pro, you might have him/her advise you on this.

IF the wedge distance gaps aren't perfect, you can live with it as long as you know what they are.
