Anyone know what the SS (actually the first S is backwards, but can't type that) logo on the back of Adam's shirt is for?

I know his shirt is made by Uniqlo, and his other major sponsors are Mercedes, Titleist and Rolex, but I am intrigued with that logo and can't find any info on it.

Thanks,

Mike

I still feel like Tiger's the only one out there worthy of his own logo. Love me some Adam Scott but come on now.

Got to give Scotty credit on his sponsors in general, though. Mercedes, Titleist and Rolex sure beat 5-Hour Energy or Perky Jerky.

Different day and age now though, players are branding themselves a lot more.

He's gotta be! Look at the guy, and look at his swing cryin out loud. But I will say I thought his wife/GF would be hotter. But I always thought that was a double S also.

I could be mistaken, But the SS logo could be cool enough to have double meanings - as for Adam Scott, or, his London rainwear sponsor, Aquascutum, venerable rival of Burberry? Very Clever!

THere's no SS logo.

Adam Scott's is an "a" and an "s".

Sergio Garcia's is an S and a G.

That's all fine and dandy - but I don't see any of the major retailers giving up a hat rack for hats with the "as" on them anytime soon, unlike the "TW" Nike hats a few years ago.

Callaway XR 9.5 + 1, Taylormade R15 3 Wood, Burner 3 Rescue, Callaway XHot 5H, Warbird 4H, Nike Vapor Fly 6-AW Irons, Titleist Vokey 54, 60 Wedges, Taylormade Rossa Fontana Putter, Srixon Z-Star Tour Yellow.

Best Score 2017:  82 (Traditions at the Glen, Par 70)

Favorite Course - Conklin Players Club (Par 72) - Best Score 86

Tiger is the only one worthy of a Logo, only Tiger can wear red and black on Sunday, Tiger this and Tiger that.........Geeeeeezzzzzzzzzz, can you say Bromance!

Personally I'm enjoying a vacation from Tiger, and I'm not looking forward to the media feeding frenzy when he returns, which he will.

But you don't mind Justin Rose and Dustin Johnson having their own logo? Or Ian Poulter. At least Poulter's is a business and not a tax dodg........I mean "charitable foundation".

    • I kind of like this interpretation especially if you think about it the unplayable rule would probably put you in a better spot.  using back on the line releief.
    • I did not realize that, I was thinking a more traditional golf club.
    • Thanks for the feedback. @StuM, we are a "club without real estate" so no facilities or pro. We have a membership of around 185 players and we only play together as a group at our tournaments, which are held at public access courses. A group of us setup the tournaments, collect the money and dole out the prizes.
    • In general, granting free relief anywhere on the course isn't recommended.  Similarly, when marking GUR, the VSGA and MAPGA generally don't mark areas that are well away from the intended playing lines, no matter how poor the conditions.  If you hit it far enough offline, you don't necessarily deserve free relief.  And you don't have to damage clubs, take unplayable relief, take the stroke, and drop the ball in a better spot.
    • If it's not broken don't fix it. If you want to add grooves to it just because of looks that's your choice of course. Grooves are cut into putter faces to reduce skid, the roll faced putter is designed to do the same thing. I'm no expert but it seems counter productive to add grooves to the roll face. Maybe you can have it sand-blasted or something to clean up the face. Take a look at Tigers putter, its beat to hell but he still uses it.
