Golf after a vasectomy??

After three boys I am scheduled for a vasectomy this friday. With my new found obsession with golf and not playing great I was curious if anyone out there had any tips as to when to get back to swinging. I would think putting and light chipping would come pretty soon but maybe im wrong.? If you have had a vasectomy how long did you wait to play a round??

There is a saying...."old golfers never die, they just lose their balls".

(Or you might simply ask your doctor)

I would be discussing this with the doctor.

You'll be fine within a week.   I went to work the next day and rode my mountain bike within a week.   Some guys take longer to recover though.

Ask your doc but only do what's comfortable and easy. Too much exertion before you're healed completely can cause swelling, extreme pain, and a longer recovery time. Where your jock strap and ice down the beanbag daily until you feel normal.

Suck it up, Cupcake.

Rub some dirt on it and get back to the driving range.

Obviously the posters had not ever had one, 'cause it ain't fun!  Imagine someone hitting you in one testicle and after the cold swear goes away, they hit you in the other one!

You won't want to make a Saturday or Sunday tee time, but you should be good to go by the following weekend.  It's been so long since I had mine but I for sure took it easy the first weekend and pretty sure I was back to playing by the following weekend.

Same here.  You really just need time for the incision to heal.  You will ache a bit the next couple of days.  You will also the brunt of dumb jokes for quite a while.

definitely wear a jock to keep your boys in order for a while.    Boxers would be bad, very bad...

jeez, can't pass up on the obvious: bring an extra sleeve... you'll be at least 2 balls short...

No, not lost, just 'unplayable'.

Seriously, just take it easy for a while.

I think we already feel bad, it's just too hard for some of us to be serious about it.

Btw, is your name a game from the apple 2 days? 6502 is a processor and I recall a game called Blaylock.

You won't be losing anything except lots more kids. a2_wink.gif).

I dont see how it could possibly hurt my game but ive been wrong before. As for my username I wish I could say I put that much thought into it but its the same username from aol messenger in high school (last name football number and graduation year) but I do remember looking at some pretty provocative dot matrix images on an apple II though!
