Got some new Mizuno jpx 825 irons with true temper dynalite gold xp r300 shafts and have had big problems controlling them! I think they are too flexible, misses have big really high cuts or hooks. I have a decent swing speed, driver I hit very straight with stiff shaft (250-270). I am very frustrated with my inconsistency and appreciate any help and suggestions! Thanks!!!

Sounds like a classic case of too weak of a shaft to me.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

yeah to weak a shaft.

Always get FITTED.

Buying mizuno you should have measured your swing DNA

That info will recommend you the proper shaft, than the head is more

a personal preference.

What is the shaft in your driver or what driver do you use?

There are many good shafts out there. But get fitted and sort things out.

We here can't recommend a shaft without some swing info.

Agree with GG, Mr. D and Tom.

Specs on the Dynalite Golf XP R300: about 117 grams weight, high launch with a soft tip... not what you need with your 250-270 S-shaft Driver performance.

Golfers often get the Dynalite Gold and Dynamic Gold shaft families confused. The Dynamic Golds are low launch, firm tip.

As others have said, get the Mizuno DNA shaft fitting. The analysis will yield a short list of three shafts for you to consider.

Focus, connect and follow through!

My driver is a ping 15 with the Serrano 60-S. I actually got fitted by someone at my club, they didn't at the time have a mizuno cart. They added an inch to all my irons and I know that makes them even more flexible! If this helps my driver swing speed is 100-105.

I can recommend the best shaft out on the market for a fairly decent price.  Try the Nippon PRO

950GH shaft. Obviously stiff, but you might benefit from hitting regular in a steel shaft.  I'm playing the 712 ap2's with that shaft in regular with a swing speed of 103-107.  But my woods and driver are stiff shafts.

I have very similar stats to you, and I play the JPX 825 with KBS Tour stiff. They'll be about the same weight with a little lower ball flight and you'll have more control being stiff. I would highly recommend them.
