Hi all!

I am wanting to reshaft my 2009 Cleveland Launcher.  It currently has the stiff yellow Fit On Fujikura shaft.  For me this shaft has too active of a tip and it's hard for me consistently square up the face at impact.  I hit the ball pretty high with so I can stand to lose to height on it.  Any and all recommendations are welcome!

Driver:     Cleveland Launcher DST 9.0 Degree, UST Proforce V2 67 X-Stiff
Wood:     Cleveland Launcher (2009) 15 Degrees, Stock shaft Stiff
Hybrid:    Adams Idea A2 20 Degree, stock shaft stiff
Irons:       Cleveland CG Red , 3-PW, DSG300 Stiff
Wedges:  Titleist Vokey SM4 54 and 60 degrees
Putter:     Odyssey White Hot Tour #5 34.5 inches
Balls:      Titleist Pro V1X, Srixon Z-Star XV

Mitsubishi rayon Diamana D+. It's not cheap but it is a very high quality shaft with a stiff tip section, I believe Tiger plays it (so it must be good lol)

Looked in 2009/2010 catalogs, and there's at least four varieties of Fuji Fit-On shafts, both in general components catalogs and in OEM club brochures. Both Callaway and Cleveland used FFOs as stock shafts on certain woods.

What are the specs on your yellow Fit On? Weight, kickpoint, flex?

You would probably do best to get on a launch monitor and get fitted. Use current shaft as baseline, then look for better performance data.

Focus, connect and follow through!

Specs for fit on gold.  60 grams, low-mid kickpoint, stiff flex, 3.5 torque, active tip.  I was having similar issues a while back with my driver and I put on a UST proforce V2 X-stiff, 67 grams, 2.8 torque and it has helped a lot.  Lowered my ball flight and has tightened up my dispersion.

I looked on the UST.Mamiya website for V2 details. Instructions show tip trim for Driver, 3W, 5W and 7W. So, your driver shaft could be used in your 3W. (Some shafts are designed specifically for drivers)

Only consideration: do you want to softstep it for a slight edge on launch off the fairway?

Yeah I'm not wanting to put my driver shaft into my 3 wood. But I Just gave that info for a reference point as I didn't know if I needed to go with something similar in my 3 wood

I have ProLaunch Reds in my driver, 3-wood, and hybrids. I know the hybrids use a separate shaft from the driver/woods, but the driver and 3-wood are probably the same. I do like it though, as it's a lower launch/spin shaft than most of the stock shafts out there.

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? How many of these names do you recognize? A few, for sure. I assure y'all, I'm not trying to pee in your Cheerios. I just don't get what the point is. Okay. I get that, then. Thanks.
    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
    • Day 1: Spent some time hitting some balls. Working on my hips and a “soft” and straight trail arm.
