Thread Starter

I've been Playing Golf for: Little over a year

My current handicap index or average score is: USGA 9.0

My typical ball flight is: Draw

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: pull draw & poor contact

Hey there!  You look like a very flexible person.. It is amazing how far back you are able to take that club in the back swing.

I think you need to pay attention to your A3 position, which is arms parallel to the ground on the backswing.

The Ps (Positions) or As (Alignments) in the Golf Swing

Basically most professionals at this position will have the club 90* in relation to their arms, I think you just take it back so far as you are reaching back with your arms that it is difficult to get to that position.  The problem is then on your down swing as you have a huge gap between your hands and your body by the time you get to the A6 position.

Take a look again, and I will see if I can get some still shots to show you exactly what I mean.

The turn rates will help clean this up near impact,

You on the left, Rory on the right. Need to get those hips to work better to allow the arms to work better. A good feel would be to try to keep that right heel on the ground as long as possible.

Are you content with a 55° shoulder turn?

I don't know that I would be.

Edit: Just like I said the first time: http://thesandtrap.com/t/69465/my-swing-gingergolfer#post_960533 .

No not at all, would increasing my shoulder turn make it easier to drop the club inside?

Relax left elbow in set up. (Pic 1) Get some better upper torso extension (video Mike and Eric showed ) in backswing (Pic 2). Practice a bit of Snead squat keeping femurs external in initial downswing move (Pic 3), pressure going to right side, not a slide (Pic 4) Get weight (pressure ) over to right heel with right hip rotation, will if you don't slide as much on downswing
