Im going to try and fix one of my clubs and when I go to put the shaft back in the club I know im going to need epoxy. But do I have to use the epoxy from the golf store thats for the shaft or can I use a 5min or 30min epoxy from a hobby store. I have a ton of that stuff and was just wondering if its the same.

Thanks.

i used some 5 minute epoxy on a big driver head and new shaft. no problem after 2 years. the only thing i have seen in the golf fitter shops that may sometimes be useful are the tiny glass  beads but only if the shaft is a bit loose. IMO, any epoxy will work.

I always use a two part epoxy I get from golf suppliers. You don't have to, you can use any good epoxy. Just make sure it has a very high shear strength. Those fast epoxies are sometimes not as strong as the ones that take longer to cure, either, so be careful using something you got for cheap at a hobby shop.
