Hey everyone!

Newbie golfer here. i Started golf last year and im pretty serious about it. I don't aim to be professional or anything near that(im 24(too old!)). Just want to go forward and get better at this time wasting addiction. My body build is skinny and im 5.8ft tall. i have spent maybe 250 days at golfclub playing/practising(short summer here)(usually playing round and 30-60min range time.

My current driver distance is ~250yards.

Question is has anyone had any experience how hitting gym helped to gain yards or stories like that.

Tell me your story!

PS. english is not my native language! =)

Technique will win out over the long haul. Case in point is my partner with an identical build to you who hits it 275-285 all day long. He grew up playing the game and knows how to use his body. He has never touched a weight in his life and frequently out drives guys that are much stronger than he is. Now if he did a little strength training he could probably get 5-10 more yards if he could translate that into more club head speed.
