No, more shaft lean will bring the leading edge into play, you want to use the bounce.  Look at those videos I posted.

Just shot my best round (93) with no fat pitches thanks to you guys. Shame by game off the tee took a bit of a dive, still some improvement!

I got 2 awesome tips at my last lesson that has helped me dramitcally with flubbing short pitches and chips.  1.  Keep my feet closer together than with full-length shots.  2.  Take the club back like I am in slow-motion.

 

This has drastically reduced those infuriating flubs . .fats, tops, skulls, etc.

I learned how to hit the ball with my hands ahead of the clubhead.
