Help with selecting a new Driver Shaft

Currently hitting a titleist d3 13 10.5 with a RIP 60 stiff

Getting a little older (51) and the club head speed is not what it use to be, would like something with a little more pop....

Was looking at the RIP Phenom 50 in Regular or the Adilla Magnum 44 in Regular

Any other suggestions?

But going from a stiff to a regular wont increase your distance, that's a myth.

But, I would look for a shaft with a mid to mid/low kick point to get the launch higher, and a bit more spin on the ball. This will help you gain carry. Also look into just an overall lighter club if you want to gain clubhead speed.

You can always go get fitted. Most all drivers are low spin, high launch. I would go find a place that has a fitting cart, were you can interchange between a lot of golf shafts. See which one gives you better numbers.

Unless your willing to shell out money to reshaft and basically go trial by error, i recommend getting fitted. Especially were you can see the numbers and figure out which shaft optimizes your ball flight.

Depends on were you live. There are some good local places, some retail chains don't do to bad of a job. It really all depends on the fitter (the person) you get to fit you. Go ask around. Maybe go to a golf course and ask a local pro were a good place is.

Torque, helps decrease the amount of rotation the clubface has through the swing. Lower torque means less rotation. With slower swing speeds, it becomes less important.

Weight, can decrease swing speed. Heavier golf shafts are naturally stiffer. So one way is to find a shaft type you like, and maybe get it lighter or heavier. For example a 60 gram stiff is going to be slightly stiffer than a 50 gram stiff shaft of the exact same make and model, in most occasions.

Launch is dictated by your swing, and by the kick point on the golf club. Basically the club will bend at a certain point, or load. A high kick point will lower the launch angle, low kick point will increase the launch angle.

Again, a fitter will have more information for you, and what your looking for compared to what you currently have.
