My Swing (andypandy)

I've been Playing Golf for: 6 months

My current handicap index or average score is: high

My typical ball flight is: straight

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: None, just trying to improve my swing.

your swings actually fine to tell you the truth. at least from what i see. ask others and se what they say i may be wrong

what club was that and how far did it go? and is your short game on par?

My short game for sure needs some work. Good to know my swing is ok... The follow through seems a little clunky to me but I don't know how much that affects my hitting.

It was a 5 iron and went around 190-200 yards

agreed with that. I think your "clunky" feeling is the hands catching up with the body and taking over at impact. Try to get the feeling of your chest rotating strait through, dragging your arms behind. Bending at the waist more as mvmac stated will definintly help with that.

your short game is what you need to work on. your swings fine. stop worrying about it. you have a nice swing. and it looks like that shot was straight. your distance is that of a pros, so I wouldn't fret over that. your short game is where you need to work. by the way do we really need protractors for golf mvmac? I mean honestly, who knows what 23 degrees looks like? I certainly don't. so try to be more specific like, "turn your toe out at about 10:00 on an analog clock. that would make it more easy to understand. I hate protractors. they made me fail 9th grade math. lol

You need a protractor to know what 25 degrees is?  I could understand if he said turn your feet 47.5 degrees...

That is like needing a protractor to know how to do a 180 degree turn, lol.
