and "funnel" greens, which if you get your ball on green the elevation will suck the ball into the cup. The Ananti CC is located in North Korea near Kum-Kang Mountain and they are open for membership from 8/15 and on. They are also holding an open house for people interested in "test driving" their course. Oh and the par 7 is the longest in the world at 1014 yards. I will try to find some pics to put up - not even sure if they are available.

You can call: 82(country code) - 2 - 553 - 5564. I am pretty sure you will have to speak in Korean though.

I considered using this opportunity to visit North Korea (it is closed off from non-Communist countries, I think the only airline that flies into North Korea is China Airline) but my friend went on a cruise tour (this is the only other way into North Korea, I'm sure they need the money) and he said the first day he got massive food poisoning and was on the toilet for a week.

Anyways here are some pics (none of the par 7 yet)

I wounder what they would call it if someone put it in the hole in 3 shots on that hole. I mean it's not impossible. 3x 300+yard drivers.

According to wikipedia, it'd be a "Vulture". Equivalent of a Hole-In-1 on a par 5.... I could've sworn I looked this up a month or so ago and it was called a "Condor"....oh wells, its wikipedia... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golf#Scoring OK, I found a site with it listed as condor. But then again, this site also has bird names listed through 15 OVER par, so I'm questioning the credibility... http://www.anyonefortee.com/Scoring/Birds.html

That is in fact the course I posted about. I guess they are ready to open up for Capitalism. I can't remember the exact figure but life time membership was I think around US$50,000 - 60,000.

Wait...is that a joke that I'm just too dim to get...?

what about that seems like a joke? The division between North and South Korea is a remnant of the cold war, hence their communist regime. As I mentioned afore, only China Airlines is allowed to fly into their restricted airspace. And for the lifetime membership - are you surprised that the fee is too low or too high? I'm sure there are memberships for cheaper and the most expensive one here in Seoul in like 2 or 3 million. That of course doesn't include the yearly fees.

Theres a course in egypt, its 24,000 something yards, you have to take a Jeep and a Tent to camp out because the course takes 2-3 days to finish. And its all one hole. I think the par is 340 something.
