I did some searching, but couldn't find my answer.

It's getting to the time of year that the sun won't allow me to finish a full nine after work at 5:30. I can usually get in 6 or 7 holes before it's too dark to see the course at all.

How do you record partial rounds for handicap purposes? Or do you at all?

In order to post a 9-hole score, you must complete at least 7 holes. For the holes you did not complete, you post par plus any handicap strokes you would be entitled to for those holes. In order to post an 18-hole score you must comlete at least 13 holes. Again, for all unplayed holes you post par plus any handicap strokes you would be entitled to. http://www.usga.org/Rule-Books/Handicap-System-Manual/Rule-05/

Thank you, sir.

How would one figure out how many extra strokes to card on the unplayed holes if you don't have an official handicap yet? Best guess, or do you assume maximum handicap, or?

I'm missing something..... If you don't have a handicap, why the concern on how to post scores for handicap purposes?

I'm getting my official handicap in January, and am trying to rack up some scores to enter, and in the meantime I'm recording rounds in Scorecard, but didn't know how to enter partial rounds.
