I was at the range today hitting some balls trying to work on my driving as its been a bit inconsistent recently. My normal drive is around 220-240 and has a really height flight, my home course is pretty windy at times so my ball flight is terrible for these conditions.
As I was going through my normal practice at the range, of hitting shots with my driver using the flags as a guide to where a fairway would be on the course. I decided to drop the tee down a setting in height and my drives started to become more consistantly straight and have a much nicer lower flight path.
The normal tee height I have been using is 2"3/8. After the session today I was speaking to the pro at the local driving range and he told me the 2nd setting on the machine at the range is around 1" 3/4. so just over half a inch difference (15mm to be exact).
So I was wondering is it possible that I have been using the wrong tee height for my driver or was I just lucky at the range today.
What sort of tee heights do you use and what is your standard ball trajectory??
