I have the TourSilk II grips on my 5-PW irons and just put the Widow Maker red/black hybrid (corded top & textured bottom) on my 51, 57, 64 wedges. I really like these grips (firm top & feel bottom, water resistant - for when you place wedge on edge of early morning dew soaked fringe/green, look bad-ass) They are similar to Golf Pride New Decade Multi-compound that I have on my driver. Do you find that either of them (Tour Silk II or the Hybrid) plays a bit smaller? i.e. standard is more like an undersized. I did some research last night after seeing some Black Widow grips at Dicks yesterday and much of what I read said they do run smaller than the stated site. this is actually good for me being I play undersized grips which are hard to come by for different options. But wanted to get your take on these specific ones you tried. I have yet to find a multicompound in an undersized.

Hey erock9174: The TourSilk II grips are smaller than say a standard Golf Pride Tour Velvet. The Widowmaker are closer in size to GPTV though. Here is a pic that may help. Also check out BW website for overall specs. The TourSilk II has a core size of 58 & the Widowmaker has core size of 60. http://www.bwgrips.com

    • We do not buy extended warranties. We will use one of our credit cards for the purchase that extends the warranty "x 2". Our thoughts are: a. if the item is a lemon, it will likely break right away and we can attempt to apply the original warranty or credit card extension. b. over the long haul, we will probably save more money by not purchasing the extended warranty and fixing/junking broken items out of our own pocket. The important thing is to keep some records of purchases so one may make a claim under the manufacturer's warranty. I recently sent back some Footjoy shoes for leaking and Footjoy did a reat job of making the claim process work very well. I had the original receipt, warrant info and box. Easy peasy.

    • This is pretty much how I look at it.  I understand there are times when the piece of mind has value. I think over the long haul I'm money ahead by never buying the extended warrantee. Hell, What do I know? I went to Ch!cago PubIic SchooIs.
