Bill Haas - rear leg "drag move" - helps relieve stress on the back?

I never noticed Bill Haas does this, and I'm not saying he has back problems, but I have to think that that little drag move (0:17) puts less strain on the back, no? I've noticed I do it on some of my practice swings and I don't feel as much of a stretch. What do you think? Any downsides?

I think it's more of a reaction to the weight being forward, lower center forward and an "un-weighting" of the right foot.  For a healthy back it's more important to release the flexion in your lower back into the followthrough.  You do that by "pushing" off the ground and having your belt buckle face the sky.

The reverse C where the hips are forward but the legs are bent is probably the worst.

This is really nice
