Simple thread: what are you thankful for in 2013 (related to golf)?

All the help this site gave me. My goal for the year was to have more rounds in the 80's than in the 100's and I achieved that 80's-7 100's-0.
Thanks

Greatfull for the young people who are risking their lives to keep us free and safe, in the Military, Fire Fighters and Police.

I am greatfull for my religion, my family and the country as I knew it. I am greatfull that my Military Disability is under control with pain medicine, so I am allowed to play Golf, I use the word play, in loose terms...

I am greatfull that I am allowed to express my thoughts without repercussions, live on a golf course and do whatever I am capable to do..

Yes, I am greatfull, for all of the above and more.....

Happy Holidays

Golf related?

Taking lessons with Mike (MVMAC and Dana), and to Erik for strongly making the suggestion to do so.

Prior to this I was a hopeless case as far as my kids' regular instructor was concerned. 8 months of no progress, then bam 5SK came along and gave me a real golf swing in less than 2 months. As Erik advertised.

Can't wait to start my son with Mike and Dana!

I am thankful that I have the health to continuously play a sport I love.

I am very thankful for the time I've got to spend this year golfing with my 5 year old and seeing him laugh and smile!

Golf related I'm thankful that this season I was able to play almost every weekend since April and that I was able to shoot under 100 twice.

A bit of a tangent but I'm curious as to what kind of time you put into those two months of development and in which manner you did so.

1 to 3 hours per day. Most of the time was building the correct posture, then trying different swing paths.

The focus was on keys 1-3, recently key 4 with a hint of 5.

Totally confident on the course, now. Even though I still hit bad shots. Picked up on my short game with 65/25/10 practice times. See the thread.

Very nice.

I wish I had 1-3 hours daily to be able to practice.  Haha.

I am thankful to have a little golf mecca just down the street from me (81 holes of golf) and the fact that it's in CA doesn't hurt either (year round baby).

Golf related

I'm thankful for my health, family life and financial stability, all which allow me to pursue my passion for golf.

Non-golf related

I'm thankful for the men and women in the military who make great personal sacrifices so we can all sleep better at night knowing our country is protected.

Grateful to my two sons who got me into a game that can so thoroughly consume my thoughts. Grateful to my wife who not only tolerates my obsession with golf, but encourages me to play.

Thankful to be healthy enough to play the game I love.

Thankful that I found this golf forum earlier this year, which effectively breaks up my work day now

Thankful for the ability to upgrade almost all my clubs this season.

And thankful that I broke the milestone of shooting even par this season on 18 holes!

Thankful that my back has been holding up the last couple of months for me to play golf and work on my swing.

Thankful for the TST members and Evolvr crew (Erik, Mike, Stephen, James, etc) for interesting discussions and helping me on my golf swing.
