MA Jimenez, and youngsters from nearby China will tee it up this next week for the HK Open.  It's lost some of its luster as it is now part of the 2014 European tour and not the penultimate tourney before the Dubai bag of gold, as it was in 2012.  But still,  HK is friendly and has a shot-makers layout.

And including John Daly, maybe the only major winner in the field. He plays the first two days with china wonderkid Guan, (remember the Master's 2013?) and Th. Olesen, from Denmark. But 7.30 am seems darn early for JD.

Round 1:  Miguel Angel shoots par (70) but now is 6 shots behind the leader. John Daly perhaps had a great fun night in Hong Kong but also had an early tee time: shot 78.

Into the final day, S.  Manley (wales) on top at -10, 2 others at -9, 3 at -8 including the defending champ MA Jimenez. Not sure  but Manley and others looking for first win ever , while Jimenez an old hand here, knows the course well and has won this tourney 3 times already. My money's on Jimmy Nez.

Miguel loves Hong Kong. Wins in playoff.  Manley, Mesawaat and Jimenez tied at -12, played the 18th again. Only Miguel GIR and sinks birdie putts to defend the title and take his 4th HK Open trophy. Hong Kong luvs the Spaniard.
