Had my clubs stolen out of my shed, my house insurance are currently dealing with it! £1750 worth of gear! How will they replace it???

Depends how you policy is written, some replace fair market value, some use 100% replacement value and yet others may not cover a standalone shed. Most folks with home owners cover the contents inside the house If it is covered they'll write you a check for the adjusted value. Good luck

My brother had his clubs stolen out of his car and it was covered under his home owners insurance policy.  His was based on replacement value, for some of the items an exact replacement could not be made, so for instance, the driver wasn't still in production so a comparable model was used for value.  He also had a $500 deductible, but he got a check for the value less the deductible.

What is amazing is just how much you have in your bag, for all of his stuff he was right at $5000.  We are both pretty tight with our golf budgets and rarely if ever pay full retail for an item.  I can assure you he didn't spend $5000, but it's amazing how all the items in your bag add up.  Rain suits, GPS, sunglasses, windshirts, head covers, golf balls, he included all those things and they add up.

Yeah, wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?

Oakley sun glasses (prescription) $300, head covers $50, Scotty Cameron divot tool, $20, Nike thermal sleeves, $40, Pearl Izumi hear muffs, $30, ZR rain hat $50, ZR wind top $200, ZR wind vest, $75, Frogger towel, ball towel, brush $70.  It's some of the little stuff that adds up, and we went through it with a fine tooth comb to make sure he could replace all of the equipment.  We catch a lot of crap from our wives that we have all the same stuff, but in this instance it was a saving grace.  I literally pulled everything out of my bag and we listed everything in it and got the retail price to replace.

well you forgot the alligator leather  golf shoes $900. and the 250 sun mountain speed cart for that matter too....My point is if you own and its stolen great, if you making things up to cover your deductible and get top of the line new equipment Taylormade/Titleist for example, when you owned Orlimar & that you think you are owed- well that is dishonest, against the law. To each is own,  better hope your insurance adjuster doesn't play golf, he may smell something fishy. I prefer to sleep at night .

Were are you coming off with that statement, everything in the bag was 100% legit.  My point to the whole topic was that you put stuff in your bag that you don't realize you have until it's gone.
