Winter Depression Thread - Page 22

Honestly though @Valleygolfer I feel for ya. My back never hurts except for when I use the damn blower.

At this point, I have come to consider the following purchase:

http://www.amazon.com/Red-Dragon-VT-2-30-SVC/dp/B002LH46N2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1392773972&sr=8-1&keywords=propane+torch+snow

Maybe not the most logical solution, but there's a certain visceral satisfaction to be had.

@jakepalm I was fine until Saturday. I was wore out clearing the snow and I took 2 steps on the slanted roof towards the ladder to go back down and whamo it hit me.

@LuciusWooding that would be fun idea but from experience, not something that would be time effective.

Whew I did it! Halfway decent job of blowing snow. We are pretty much down to one lane on my road though...

@Valleygolfer well that is good to hear that you survived it all. From what I see, we have another "three" inches coming tonight.

I can see grass.

Well that's lucky, I can't see any part of my house below the windows.

Haha.  I saw a lot of that up in Worcester this weekend.  There was about a foot of snow on the ground from the week before, then we got about a food Thursday, another 4-6 on Saturday, and I think they were predicting another 8 for yesterday or today.  Its really impressive how quickly they clean the streets up there.

Back in DC it was in the 50s yesterday and is again today.  Not bad golf weather except for the foot of snow on the ground.

They shouldn't make predictions, just say "it'll snow" and ill figure out the rest when its over. I felt my right arm big time on that last snowblow and I am hoping when its all over I can still swing a club.

We got a bunch more than expected in New Brunswick too. I didn't know we were getting any at all so waking up to 20 CM was surprising.

Its supposed to be a whopping 60* in Philly on Friday!!  Maybe it will melt the snow down to about 8" in my yard!!  Jamaica March 6th can't come soon enough!

I mean I do get excited for the warmer temps and what not, but still, there is A LOT of snow on the ground. Who knows when it will all be gone and the clubs and outdoor ranges will start opening up again.

I knew there was a reason I moved from the Northeast south.  :-)

66 in Winston-Salem, NC, and last week's snow is melting. I've been watching the Red Sox spring training report, and have enjoyed seeing the sunshine and palm trees. When we were in Boston a few years ago, I said I would like to live there if I could stand the winters, and the people I talked to told me how mild the winters had been. I'm glad I didn't listen to them!
