ok well i took my first lesson and played a round the next day using the swing my instructor taught me. now my left shoulder is causing me some pain. anyone else have this? i dunno if I'm just not flexible enough for the swing or because my body isn't used to the swing it is sore.

More details are necessary. What was changed, and are you doing it properly? Got video? Anything?

so pretty much before when i would swing i would break my wrists almost immediately on my back swing. now i start to break them further back, about half way? thats pretty much the only thing that has changed. I'm hoping to take a video today at the range. plus maybe you guys can help me with my swing as well

I don't see anything in your swing that would definitely cause some left shoulder pain. How's it feel today? Have you gone to a doctor? Iced it?

Glad it resolved. Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. Weird thing it was after golfing on a day when my swing felt, and according to my partners looked smoother than it had all year. I shattered my previous long drives of the year three times during that round. Next day I woke up very sore with shoulder popping. I saw my PCP and he prescribed ice and rest and all pain was gone in a few days. I think it had nothing to do with golf and was irritated after changing to a more rigorous shoulder workout in my instance. Depending on how much band work I do I can still feel it a little. A big reason my off season goals are as much about fitness as anything.

Dave :-)
