Planning on driving out to the Humana Challenge next year for the Friday through Sunday rounds. To anyone that has been, do you have any general advice or recommendations for getting the most out of this experience? It will be the first PGA event I've been to.

Thanks!

If you want to help, post here. It's inappropriate to ask people to email you.

What kind of bullshit is that? It's that users decision whether or not they chose to email me. I have a lot of connections down here and would love to help out but I can't post any details to an open forum because of the obvious necessary privacy. My intentions are good, I'm trying to help. Take it or leave it

Thanks for the Pic's Mike. Brings back many great memories.

Question, What are the red signs which indicate a number of "steps"?

Thanks Club Rat

Number of steps just fits in with the health and awareness theme that Humana/Clinton emphasize this week.

I never thought i would see Gary Player with a (small) spare tire around his middle. And what kind of 'training' club is he swinging?

Um, that is just his shirt overhanging his belt, not his stomach. Gary Player is probably more fit than half the PGA Tour and those guys are half his age ;)

Awesome pictures Mike, thanks for sharing.

My boss is actually there right now and is going to be part of the Pro-Am part of the tournament.  In fact, my bosses Caddie at the tournament is the same caddy that caddies for Joe Durant.  He called my boss on Saturday from Hawaii at the Sony open, where he was caddying for Joe, to confirm they will be working together (of course, my boss was super excited)..  It's Kinda cool because Joe Durant won this tournament when it was the Bob Hope Classic in 2001..  My boss should have some interesting stories when he gets back which I will be sure to share when I get to talk to him about it.

So cool. This is one of my favorite tournaments of the year.  I love the look of this course.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
