ok i currently hit my driver pretty well, when i keep my tempo down. i have a stock project x 6.0 and was wondering if a new shaft is worth it. I'm looking at the "mitsubishi rayon - kuro kage black 70s" any thoughts? its 179.99 and i don't want to throw a lot of money at it if its not worth it

Fitting carts have all kinds of flexes and weights. Golfsmith and Roger Dunn (this is the best place). You want to go to a store where they just let you try different club heads with the shafts. You can use the launch monitor to see the differences. I took a risk in buying the shafts and putting them on my club, but it worked.

Anywhere with a Callaway fitting cart should have different shafts for you to try in your XHot.
