Looking for a 3 wood...... - Page 3

The only 3 wood I have found I personally hit consistent is the Nike VRS Covert Tour 3 wood. It isn't nearly as long as most 3 woods, but I've been consistent around 250 give or take 5 yards, and it really is forgiving. It is also super easy to hit off the deck. With it being adjustable too, you can set the loft that suits your eye.

Quick question here, im also looking for a new 3 wood, or two... ive been looking at Rocketballz stage 2. I just cant decide if the 17 degree hl  or the 15 degree would be better. Any one have experience with both?

Depends on your gaps. Slower swing speed might benefit from higher loft to get more carry.

On a side note. Tried out the Callaway X2 Hot 3-wood and the SLDR 3-wood. They are both very very good 3-woods. The SLDR is just a beast as its driver. Once again it is for higher swing speeds who need to look to cut off a bit of spin.

It kinda depends on what other clubs you carry. If you have a hybrid that's 19 you might want to go with a 15 instead of 17. Or if you use it off the tee a lot you would probably be better off with a 15.

Right now i have an R1 set to either 12 or 10 degrees. Typically my speed hasn't been that high, but i also just realized how bad my mechanics were the other day as well. Above 3 woods im using a 21 degree 3 hybrid. My local course isn't that punishing on bad driver shots, so i always pull out driver.
