Some of his points make sense. I assume a folding wrist is a flip. Very withholding on "the secret" though and that's enough to turn me off. Anyone know more about weird golf trick instructional philosophy?

I don't know anything about a "secret" and all I really know about a square to square swing is what Sam Goulden says in his U-Tube videos. His version anyway looks like a Steve Stricker swing to me (and he says that) which I like because it's simple. Helps eliminate the chance of an intentional wrist cock accidentally turning into a cupped left wrist.

Square-to-square also sounds somewhat like Bradley Hughes swing philosophy which I really like (GolfAus on YouTube)

Square-to-Square was a hot new approach to the golf swing back in 1975, featured in several Golf Digest articles. eBay has some links to the Square book:

http://www.ebay.com/ctg/Square-to-Square-Golf-Swing-Golf-Digest-Editors-and-Dick-Aultman-1975-Paperback-/1409364

The 1970s also saw the emergence of Jimmy Ballard and The Connection. Ballard wrote a book in the early 1980s, and has had more enduring success as an "alternative" approach to the golf swing. B still runs his school in Key Largo, Fla.

Square arrived with all the hoopla of the more recent Stack-N-Tilt. Square faded out after a few years - seems not all of its rules worked for everyone.

More recently, Doug Tewell from the Champions Tour has a Square-To-Square swing system he touts online. He says it works especially well for over-40 golfers who have lost the "big windmill swing" of their younger years. From the videos, it appears he adopted it personally circa 2000.

Also, Square supposedly has "the secret" which will help us all break 80. Sorry, I don't know what it is.

Ah, now I know the story behind that annoying ad - seems like it's everywhere for me. Thanks. Now if I could just block it... forever.

Sounds like the Golf Revolution thing. I clicked the link, now I get e-mails every day from some dude named Dean. The ad says Jim McClean will fix your swing for Free, unfortunately that's Not the case. If your gonna charge for a service, say so, don't try the bait and switch thing on folks...Errrr  Sorry for the OT..
