I've seen this commercial on TV a lot recently. Pretty funny stuff. Good job Nike.

I love this commercial! I used to feel guilty about using a hybrid until I saw this lol. It really does put the whole "golf purist" thing into perspective. Someone may be a purist in relation to a particular generation, depending on what clubs they use (or refuse to use) but unless you are using that mallet thingy at the end of the commerical...lol

I had a friend of mine out once using his daddy's old persimmons. That starter says "you boys better be spotting him 5 strokes".

My brother was the last holdout that I know of who was still using a persimmon driver. He always hit it pretty long and right down the middle and couldn't get used to metal tchnology. He finally gave in about 5 years ago and is REALLY long now, but he still has a persimmon 5-wood in his bag. While he still refuses to go hybrid, that 5-wood sure looks like one.
